For B2B trading, this distinction matters. A device may meet the hardware requirements for Apple Intelligence, but actual feature availability may still depend on software version, language settings, Apple Account region, purchase region and destination market.

Why Regional Availability Matters

Apple’s current support information states that Apple Intelligence features do not currently work for supported devices purchased in China mainland.

For supported devices purchased outside China mainland, Apple Intelligence features also do not currently work if the user is in China mainland and the Apple Account Country or Region is set to China mainland.
